Applications may take longer than the stated processing time if:
- there is information missing from the application when it is submitted,
- additional information is needed, or
- third party checks are required.
In these instances, the processing time will depend on how long it takes for the third party check, or the applicant to provide the required information. INZ has limited control over the length of time it takes for the third party, or applicant to provide this.
